![]() Since then, I have not upgraded it, because there was no reason.Īs you understand, an efficient cooler is not one that is mounted vertically to the motherboard, but parallel to it. I returned the cooler back to the store.Īs you have written above, CPU (so, case too) are bought on 2008. In 3-4 minutes, it would reach at about 76-77 C, and was rising up. In both sides I had the air flow direction, immediately the GPU raised the temperature. It is and old one, that the PSU is placed on the top, and at the top the case has no airflow slots. ![]() It didn't work because my case is a mid-one. The cooler I have tried is like the one that you suggest. I have tried to replace the cooler about a month ago, but, unfortunately, it didn't work. My money is ok for making this whole replacement. I agree with all of you in your suggestions about replacing the cooler altogether. Thank you for searching and suggesting in a greek domain ! ![]() If you want significantly less noise, it'd probably be better to replace the cooler altogether as opposed to just the fan. If you haven't done so in a while, replacing the thermal paste can help improve cooling and get the fan rpm to how it used to be before. The suggested 70mm fan replacements are also high rpm and are probably pretty noisy. Replacing the fan with a quieter and lower rpm one would probably result in sacrificing some performance. The included fan is rather high rpm to compensate for the small heatsink.
